Given the enormity and rapidity of covid, After the first night curfew in the capital and then the full day curfew on Saturday and Sunday, are preparations for the entire Lokhadun going on now?

In 2020, the lockdown in Delhi and the rest of the country was imposed simultaneously. But during the second wave in 2021, Delhi witnessed a phased imposition of curbs. The curbs began with a night curfew and soon took shape of a full-fledged lockdown. What does the past trend suggest? Is the national capital heading towards another lockdown?

Now, Delhi government imposed a weekend curfew in the national capital after a meeting with the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA). The decision came a week after the restrictions under the Yellow alert (Level 1) of the Covid Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). The weekend curfew order by the DDMA has rekindled speculation of lockdown returning to the national capital.
